The Meta Quest 3S is an all-in-one virtual reality headset, meaning it has a built-in computer, so you don’t need to attach it to a PC to run games and apps. (You still can, though, if you want to play games not found on the Meta Quest platform, like Half-Life: Alex, for instance.) It’s also significantly more powerful than the previous Quest, and equal to the (significantly more expensive) standard Meta Quest 3.
It offers over two hours of battery life, and you can buy an external battery pack to extend that even further. It also comes with a 3-month trial of Meta Horizon+, which gets you access to a catalog of over 100 games, as well as free games each month, and even Xbox Game Pass.
The particular bundle on sale now is the Gorilla Tag bundle. Gorilla Tag is probably the most popular Meta Quest game at the moment. It’s an online competitive game of tag, where you and your opponents are monkeys who can climb all over the highly vertical maps to hide from each other. It’s quite silly. The bundle comes with a free in-game skin for your gorilla, plus 2,000 Shiny Rocks, the virtual currency used to buy items in the game.
This is far from the only deal going now. Take a look at our roundups of the best 4K Blu-ray deals and Apple deals and LEGO deals in the Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale before it ends October 7.
