Overwatch is giving fans the opportunity to pick up a Mythic skin in the game for free to commemorate BlizzCon 2026. The selection of skins available through the promotion includes cosmetics for several of Overwatch's most popular Heroes.
The hero shooter from Blizzard has provided no shortage of options for players to customize their favorite Heroes within the game. Each of Overwatch's playable characters has multiple skins to choose from, ranging from simple color palette swaps to elaborate skins that re-imagine characters like Junkrat and Lifeweaver with completely new looks. The launch of the newest version of Overwatch, originally referred to as Overwatch 2, introduced the highest tier of skins to the game, debuting Mythic Skins with interchangeable weapons, armor, masks, and more. Now, Overwatch is offering free Mythic skins to all players for BlizzCon.
Blizzard has officially revealed a special "thank you" gift to Overwatch fans to commemorate the annual BlizzCon festivities. Overwatch players can claim an in-game voucher for a free Mythic skin bundle following the conclusion of BlizzCon 2026's opening ceremony, with fans only needing to complete one match to claim the reward. The selection includes all of Overwatch's Mythic skins released from Season 1 through Season 14, featuring cosmetics for popular characters such as Tracer, Widowmaker, and Kiriko. Players have until October 5 to complete an Overwatch match and redeem one of the available Mythic bundles.
Blizzard shared more details about the Mythic skin giveaway through Overwatch's official website. The bundles will include all the standard customization levels for the chosen Mythic skin, allowing fans to personalize their free skin after redeeming the voucher. The official post confirmed that the giveaway does not include any of Overwatch's Mythic skin Aspects for the featured skins, only giving players access to the base customization for the skins. For players that already own every Mythic skin included in the Overwatch giveaway, redeeming the voucher will grant 50 Mythic Prisms to use for other skins.

The free Mythic skin is not the only gift Blizzard is giving out for Overwatch at 2026's BlizzCon. Overwatch is offering special Twitch drops to any fans who watch the Overwatch World Cup during the BlizzCon stream, with higher tiers for watching the stream for longer periods of time. The rewards range from icons, Loot Boxes, and sprays at the lower levels up to special Esports Loot Boxes given out at both the six-hour and eight-hour marks, alongside special Overwatch World Cup cosmetics. Day 2 even features skins for Domina at multiple tiers, giving out a Home jersey skin after two hours of watching and an Away jersey after four hours.
Overwatch's BlizzCon presentation featured far more than just free Mythic skins and the Overwatch World Cup. Blizzard teased upcoming Hero Doctrine with a brand-new trailer during the broadcast, giving fans the chance to try out the vampiric Support character for free during a new Hero trial. Blizzard also confirmed reworks coming for a pair of popular Heroes in the near future, with both Sombra and Roadhog set to receive significant changes to their kits. Overwatch looks to have some big changes on the way in the near future, and fans should have every reason to look forward to what comes next.
