One of the best cartoons of all time is finally getting the full Blu-ray treatment.
Adventure Time originally aired from 2010 and 2018 and quickly became one of the most acclaimed cartoons in history. While all of the individual seasons have been released on Blu-ray, the full series has only been available in a standard DVD format in North America. Until now.
The full Adventure Time Blu-ray set is now up for preorder with a release date of October 20, and the best deal is getting it directly through Gruv.
Pricing currently varies across retailers, with Amazon listing the full set at $89.99 while it’s only $74.99 at Walmart and Gruv. The cheaper price likely has something to do with Gruv being the direct storefront for Warner Bros., the parent company of Cartoon Network. Amazon does offer a preorder pricing guarantee and will likely eventually price-match the other retailers, but for now, why not save a couple of bucks?
While the Amazon listing doesn’t have an image, Walmart and Gruv listings seem to confirm the new release will have the same green packaging as the existing DVD release, just with the Blu-ray logo tacked on the side. Speaking of, IGN did review the Season 1 Blu-ray over a decade ago, claiming "the conversion to Blu is impeccable." I'd imagine this new set will match that colorful quality.

While the original series ended back in 2018, Adventure Time continues to get plenty of love and greenlights. The spin-off series Fionna and Cake ran for two seasons on HBO Max, while a new spin-off, Adventure Time: Side Quests, recently premiered on Hulu and Disney+.
