Breathedge 2 delivers an open-world map of space that you can freely explore, but it's not like you will be able to reach every corner of the map right off the bat with no preparation. Low temperatures can be disastrous for you, which is why you need to find a way to increase cold protection for your space suit, which you can do with this guide.
In the early areas, three material types can help you increase cold protection: Teddy Bears, Foam, and Cardboard, with Teddy Bears being the most resistant to cold.
If you already have any of these materials, get onto the train and find the Wardrobe. It's on the opposite side of the vending machine. Now, you can patch up your spacesuit with different materials. Keep in mind that some of these materials come with both buffs and debuffs. Although Teddy Bears have the highest amount of cold resistance, they will weaken your armor against incoming attacks.
If we take all buffs and debuffs into account, the cardboard is the best material to add to your spacesuit, as it only delivers buffs and no debuffs. However, to reach 100 Cold Protection, you will have to use at least a few foams or teddy bears.
Finding cardboard is easy. The very first instance of it is located in the train station, just behind Babe. You will need to use a Cutter to extract cardboard. I have marked a few locations on the map above with orange circles where you can find cardboards.
Foam can also be extracted with the cutter. You will spot yellow rectangular foam on the floor of the platforms in the space. If you get close, you can collect it using a cutter. It's quite easy to locate, and you won't really need markers for it.
Last but not least, you have Teddy Bears. These are not easy to find. You will find them upon your exploration in random locations. However, I have marked one Teddy Bear location on the map above with a red circle. With some cardboard and foam, those will be enough to go beyond 100 Cold Protection.
