Control Resonant's open-world gameplay allows players to explore different regions, deal with Hiss enemies, and complete a wide range of side activities. Each region can be levelled up by taking part in World Events, defeating Hiss, and finishing various objectives. Once a zone reaches a certain level, players unlock the option to play the Shum III Arcade machine tied to that region.
These arcade cabinets are not marked on the map from the start, which is why the guide below covers the location of every Shum III cabinet in Control Resonant, as well as how to unlock them, since some require specific abilities or key items.
The first Shum III arcade cabinet is located at the extreme south of the map, and there is a Fast Travel point nearby if you have already unlocked it. It might look like accessing the arcade requires the Reach ability, but you do not actually need it. You can simply get on top of the roof and jump across the levitating platforms to reach the Wear'Em & Wash'Em Laundromat.
Head inside to find the arcade cabinet. The challenge here requires you to defend an FBC shipment from waves of Hiss enemies.
This arcade cabinet is located in the northeast part of the zone inside an Urban Fresh Mart. You can enter this location at any time, and the challenge inside is an obstacle course where you must reach the finish line as quickly as possible.
The arcade cabinet in the Evacuation Zone is locked behind a door located in the eastern part of the region. You will come here during one of the main story missions, and the door requires the Level 2 Keycard, which is obtained during the same quest.
Once the mission is complete, go down the elevator and open the locked door to access the arcade machine. The challenge for this cabinet requires you to survive enemy waves.
For this cabinet, you will need both the Shift and Reach abilities unlocked. While making your way to the West Incursion Zone Resonant boss, you will come across the Empire Avenue Fast Travel point. Right next to it, inside the Atlantis Cafe, you can find the arcade cabinet. The challenge here also requires you to defeat multiple enemy waves.
