Armatus now has a confirmed launch date, having previously promised a vague 'winter' window.
The cool-looking action shooter will release for PS5 on the 7th January, adding to what's quickly becoming a very hectic first few months of the year for Sony's system.
Armatus is a single player effort from Counterplay Games, which you may remember as the team behind PS5 launch title Godfall.
There's definitely some Godfall DNA on display here, but there's obviously a much bigger emphasis on ranged weaponry.
For what it's worth, I thought Godfall had a pretty good feel in terms of combat mechanics and moment-to-moment gameplay — so I'd be surprised if Armatus doesn't hit similar action-heavy heights. Definitely one to watch for fans of third-person carnage.
