Fortnite got a beefy update today which finally put Sora and some of his Kingdom Hearts buddies in the game. That’s not all that’s been added to celebrate its ongoing video game-themed season, though. There’s also an arcade on the island, and it has legally distinct versions of classic arcade games you can play while chaos continues to unfold around you.
The arcade can be found next to the game’s Five Nights at Freddy’s pizzeria. Inside, there are a ton of cabinets, including one adorned with artwork from Fortnite’s sister game, Fall Guys. That one, like many of the others, isn’t playable. Five of them are, though. You just need to seek them out, and I can help you with that.
The games you need to be on the lookout for are Volley, Meteors, Block Busters, Boost Ball, and Time Waster. Three of those games aren’t just unique Fortnite takes on three of the most iconic classic video games of all time - they are almost identical to the original versions.
Volley, for example, is just Pong. That one is basically identical to the original video game, as there isn’t really much you can change about Pong to make it different while still being the same game. Block Busters is Breakout, but it looks a little different from the original version of the game, and the same applies to Meteors, which, if you hadn’t already figured it out yourself, or you’re under the age of 35, lets you play something that looks a lot like the arcade version of Asteroids.
It’s 2026 and Epic has figured out how to get me playing Fortnite again, and it’s by putting a game from 1979 inside of its battle royale mode.
Before you drop in to leisurely spend some time messing around with this quintet of classics, a reminder that these aren’t games you can play in a separate mode. They’re not even waiting for you in the lobby so you can kill time in matches. They are waiting to be played inside of ongoing BR matches. That means if someone walks in while you’re busy setting a new high score in Block Busters, you’re almost certainly going to pay for it by getting eliminated.
If you want to play those games dressed as Sora, Kairi, Riku, or Roxas, you can, as everything from the announced Kingdom Hearts crossover has now been added to the game. Check your V-Bucks before you do, though, as the Kingdom Hearts bundle has tied the record for the most expensive in Fortnite history.
