Capcom classic Dino Crisis 2 will be made available on PS5 and PS4 via the PS Store from next Tuesday, 20th October 2026. The game will be part of PS Plus Premium straight away, but it'll also be purchasable outside of the subscription, most likely for £7.99 / $9.99.
This will be a port of the PS1 version, but it'll ship with the bells and whistles of Sony's classic conversion process, such as rewind features, video filters, and quick save options. However, you shouldn't expect Trophy support: Capcom's own classic titles that have been ported to PS5 and PS4 unfortunately haven't come with any Trophy lists.
Since Dino Crisis 3 was an Xbox exclusive, the port of Dino Crisis 2 will mean every entry that was released on PlayStation will now be available on PS5 and PS4. Fans have been hoping for a revival of the franchise, though it hasn't arrived just yet.
One year has passed since the events of “Operation: Rescue Dr. Kirk”. Dino Crisis 2 is part of a wider PS Plus update for October 2026, which sees nine games added to the service in total. You also have Mafia: The Old Country, Mycopunk, The Midnight Walk, and a couple more to look forward to from the membership this month.
