For many, this weekend will be spent buzzing about the GTA 6: An Extended Look gameplay trailer on Netflix, which gave fans the world over their first official glimpse at the game in action, and another Rockstar game is also celebrating this weekend. Red Dead Redemption 2 is hosting a few special events and downloads that players will want to get involved in, but they must do so before August comes to an end.
Not to mention, now's as good a time as any (if not better) to return to the world of Red Dead Redemption 2. GTA 6 previews showcased several life simulation features that seemingly recreate the best parts of San Andreas, with the detail of Red Dead 2, and a scale heretofore undreamt of. Red Dead 2 and its Online component are not going to recreate that full sensation, but it's still evident enough that Red Dead 2 helped propel the world of Vice City to its modern state (beyond Guarma).
Building up to the GTA 6: Extended Look, perhaps, Rockstar has spent all month offering special incentives and rewards for Red Dead 2's Online counterpart. Many are still available through August 31, and while some require players to check out the game, everything is free via a downloaded update. The biggest opportunities are tied to Red Dead Online's Telegram Missions, which are currently paying out 3X RDO$, XP, and Gold. Players can take on missions such as A Tough Business, Skelding's Contract, and Strange Tales of the West by collecting their Telegrams from a local Post Office or Camp Lockbox, then opening the Satchel and navigating to Documents.

Collectors also have access to several boosted rewards through August 31. Selling Collector Sets currently pays 3X RDO$, while discovering collectibles with the Metal Detector and Pennington Field Shovel also awards 3X RDO$. This makes the final few days of August a good opportunity for anyone who has been building up a collection of valuables.
The final piece of August's Frontiersman Outfit is also available this week, with players who have reached Collector Rank 20 able to claim the Frontiersman Neckerchief. Other parts of the Red Dead Redemption 2 outfit were offered throughout the month, including the Frontiersman Pants, Belt, Boots, Half Chaps, Shirt, and Suspenders, so this is the last chance to pick up the final accessory as part of the August event.
There are also free rewards tied to the Red Dead Online Featured Series. Winning matches in this week's Hardcore Pro Series earns players a Reward for the Burned Town Treasure Map. The Hardcore Pro Series follows several other Featured Series events that appeared throughout August, including the Hardcore Elimination Series, Takeover Series, and Explosive Series.
Finally, the Trade Route and Condor Egg Free Roam Events are wrapping up the month's Red Dead Redemption 2 bonuses. Trade Route has players protecting a train loaded with valuable goods from attacking bandits, while the Condor Egg event tasks Collectors with finding the prized egg. Both activities currently offer 3X RDO$ and XP, giving Red Dead Online players several ways to earn extra rewards before these offers disappear on August 31.
