The modders behind an unofficial Nintendo Switch port of GTA 5 are shutting down their group after reported legal action from Rockstar Games’ parent company, Take-Two Interactive.
GTA 5 never received an official Nintendo Switch release, but a team called Paralympics Productions managed to bring Los Santos to the original console themselves.
The project attracted attention for running the game directly on Nintendo’s hardware. However, it reportedly used leaked GTA 5 source code, and its developer has now announced the group’s closure.
On September 28, the mod’s lead revealed Rockstar had taken legal action against the team.
In a post on X, developer M0jso said Paralympics Productions would shut down on October 3, thanking supporters and apologizing for leaving their expectations unfulfilled.
“I am thankful for Take-Two’s mercy, so this is the definitive end,” they wrote.

The developer also pushed back when another user suggested Take-Two would lose if the dispute reached court.
