If you're a long-time fan of the FIFA franchise and Apple TV's fantastic football-themed sitcom Ted Lasso, you'll no doubt remember being able to play as AFC Richmond back in FIFA 23. After a four-year absence, the Greyhounds return in EA Sports FC 27, albeit with something of a twist.
With Ted now managing the women's team in the show, you won't be able to play as fan-favorite characters like Roy Kent, Jamie Tartt, and Dani Rojas in EA Sports FC 27. Instead, you'll be strutting your stuff as the Lady Greyhounds, who are every bit as talented as their male counterparts.
You can find AFC Richmond in the Rest of World section of the Women's Teams menu. They have a three-and-a-half-star rating, which is half a star lower than the men's team was given in FIFA 23. All of the show's main players are present and accounted for, though, with gen players filling in the gaps.
In addition to the eight players from the show, you'll be able to see Ted Lasso patrolling the touchline during matches involving AFC Richmond. Just like last time, you can also use Ted as a manager in career mode. To do so, you'll need to choose Women's Teams as Gender and Rest of World as Country. From there, you'll be able to find him on the third row. After selecting him, you'll be free to change teams, so you won't be restricted to managing female clubs.
