Fantasy magic RPG Astrae Oratio will launch for iOS and Android in 2027, with a PC version to follow, publisher NCSOFT and developer Dynamis One announced. The PC version is newly announced. The game is playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
“We’re bringing the story, art, and combat together into a cohesive gameplay experience, which we’ll continue to expand through live service updates,” said Dynamis One game director Jong-gyu Lim in a press release. “Starting with the first playable demo at Tokyo Game Show, we hope you’ll follow Astrae Oratio as it grows into an ongoing series, with new stories and characters introduced over time.”

NC’s new anime game, Astrae Oratio (developed by Dynamis One), is a *shindenki magic RPG set in a fictionalized ’89 Tokyo. In a world where reality and magic coexist, players take on the role of a “Shunin,” a public official from the Special District Office (the agency responsible for the administration of magic users), as they encounter various characters and incidents throughout the city.
The goal of Astrae Oratio is to bring story, art, and gameplay together as a single experience. The story unfolds as it follows the daily lives of magicians as they encounter incidents lurking beneath the surface. Players will engage with the world and characters in various ways, such as taking direct control of uniquely distinct magicians during combat based on certain situations.
At Tokyo Game Show 2026, the game will highlight its narrative and combat systems. Players can explore the game’s atmosphere and the magicans’ daily lives through the Prologue and the “Minato Arc” storyline, while hands-on training content will introduce basic combat mechanics and the varied fighting styles of magicians operating across Tokyo.
*Shindenki (新伝奇): A subgenre of urban fantasy in which supernatural and extraordinary elements such as magic are combined with the everyday spaces that exist in reality.
