The Gallery section in EA FC 27 has made its debut in the Ultimate Team mode. Thankfully, the Gallery doesn't bring any pay-to-win or pay-to-progress methods, but it does introduce Gallery Tokens as a new in-game currency. Gallery Tokens don't replace anything. It's just a new currency with a dedicated store, where you spend the tokens to buy certain player items or more valuable packs. Just be aware that it's a long, grindy path to earning Gallery Tokens!
Gallery Tokens cannot be purchased for real money, and they can't be obtained from packs.
You earn Gallery Tokens by completing Sets in the Gallery. Every Set offers a different amount of Gallery Tokens for every grade that you hit. Some sets only offer Gallery Tokens for the highest grade, which is S-tier.
To complete sets, head to the Gallery menu and then switch to the Categories tab. Here, you can open each category to check out the sets. If you press Square (PlayStation) / X (Xbox) on each set, you can see the rewards that it offers for every grade.
You reach those grades by submitting players to the sets. The higher the OVR rating of the player, the more points it contributes to the set. Special versions of items, like Icons, Heroes, TOTW, etc., will contribute even more points.
Once you submit all required players to a set, grade it. Based on the score of your players, you will get a grade of D, C, B, A, or S. In the "Show Rewards" panel, you can see how much score you need to hit each grade.
The entry-level sets are Starter Set and Squad Foundation, both of which can be found in the Rarities category. The Starter Set requires only 5 players, and you need a total score of 2,000 to reach S rank. This set will only grant Gallery Tokens for the S rank. So, as soon as you get it, your balance will increase by 5 Gallery Tokens.
The cheapest items in the Gallery Token Store are the team kit packs that cost 100 tokens, and they aren't even worth spending them on.
