Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave will release at 12 a.m. Eastern Time on September 17. This is a simultaneous release across the United States, so those on the West Coast can play at 9 p.m. on September 16, Mountain Time is 10 p.m., and Central Time is 11 p.m.
However, if you don't live in the United States, Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave will release at midnight in your time zone on September 17. That means that countries such as Japan, Australia, and New Zealand will be able to play the game hours ahead of those in western countries such as the US and UK. If you're buying a physical copy of the game, you'll obviously only be able to play it once your copy arrives. Fortunately, the digital version of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave is $10 cheaper than the physical version, which makes it even more enticing to go for the digital option. However, if you're a collector of physical media, you may be happier to pay the extra cost and wait until your copy is in your hands.
If you can't wait, it is possible to play Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave earlier than midnight in your time zone, but it does require you to jump through some hoops. You'll first need to create a new Nintendo eShop account for a different region, such as Australia or New Zealand.
After making the account, you'll need to purchase eShop cards from that country. Once this is done, you can purchase the game from the Australian or New Zealand version of the eShop and download it to your system. You'll then be able to begin playing much earlier (around 8 a.m. Eastern Time on September 16), but keep in mind that the cost of games in Australia and New Zealand typically equates to a much higher price in US Dollars, Euros, or Great British Pounds.
