Worthy of Trust is a secondary quest in The Witcher 3 that begins in Skellige after you arrive at Kaer Trolde Harbor. As you explore the docks while starting the main questline in the region, you will come across a man who approaches Geralt with a request.
Speaking with him starts the quest, although you will need to wait a little before you can see how the situation develops. Here is how to complete the Worthy of Trust quest and what each choice offers.
After reaching Kaer Trolde Harbor, speak with the man near the docks. He will explain that his ship was wrecked during the last storm, leaving him without the means to make the journey home.
He asks Geralt for a loan and promises to pay it back if they meet again in Novigrad. If you agree to help him, you will have to pay 150 Crowns. The conversation will then end, and you will need to wait for the next encounter.
After a day has passed, which you can speed up by meditating, travel to the area between Kaer Trolde Harbor and the Crossroads. There is a small camp here with a merchant, and you will find the same man sitting on some crates nearby.
Speak with him, and you will discover that he has taken on a new identity. After Geralt presses him about the situation, the man admits that he is a con artist. He asks Geralt not to turn him in to the jarl and promises to repay the loan with interest. You will now have three choices:
Let him go: Geralt will threaten the con man not to cheat a witcher again, warning him that they may meet another time.
Turn him in to the jarl OR Take care of him yourself: Both of these lead to a fight with the con man. Kill him to complete the quest and receive 20 Crowns. You can also loot his body to obtain 150 Crowns, Fried Meat, and a Skellige Longsword.
