Players who're done with their first playthrough of the game might be thinking of starting a new Control Resonant New Game Plus. It's the best mode for completionists who want to experience everything the game has to offer, from zone-level unlock rewards to collecting every document in the game. However, before starting a New Game+ playthrough, you'll need to know exactly which things from your progression carry over, and how to start NG+ mode to begin with.
Once players start a New Game Plus playthrough in Control Resonant, some of their progress will carry over while others will be reset. To make things clear before you take the plunge, here's an exact list of things that will carry over and things that will reset.
To start a New Game+ playthrough in Control Resonant, you'll need to enter the Gap after completing the game. Interact with Hedron's drawing on the Resonant mural, and you'll get a prompt to start New Game Plus.
If you select yes, the game will create a new save file in a separate slot that will be clearly labeled as NG+. This means you'll still be able to hop into your original save file and switch to the NG+ save whenever you want. However, there are some gameplay aspects that change when players begin New Game Plus.
While you can only play through New Game Plus once currently, Remedy will be launching an update in October that will add New Game++ to Control Resonant. This will let you play New Game Plus mode infinitely and keep making Dylan stronger with each run.
