GTA 6 is 2026’s most anticipated game, but its trailer is also one of the best movies of the year based on Letterboxd reviews.
The 27-minute-long Extended Look made its way onto the app, which allows users to log and score every movie they watch, thanks to its release on Netflix. So, fans have been leaving their own reviews of the game based on what they’ve seen so far.
At the time of writing, it has an average score of 4.2 out of five, which actually ranks it as one of the top 50 releases of the year, placed at number 34.
It even managed to beat Spider-Man: Brand New Day, one of the highest-grossing films ever, which has a score of 4.1, and The Invite, starring Seth Rogen and Olivia Wilde.
But what have fans been saying? Well, GTA 6 Extended Look has over 32,000 reviews, nearly 24,000 of which gave it the maximum five stars, praising the visuals and the new protagonists.
“I just watched the 26 minutes of GTA 6 gameplay on Netflix and I think this looks amazing,” reads one review. “Jason and Lucia look like a great dynamic duo to play as. Lucia is already becoming an icon. The city of Miami looks beautiful.”
“Y’all are not gonna see me log any movie for at least 3 weeks when this comes out!!” says another.
Meanwhile, others joked about how unusual it is to see what is essentially a trailer for a video game on Letterboxd.
