Valheim‘s 1.0 update has added plenty of new tools, weapons, and armors to collect, and one of the most important ones is the Grappling Hook. This item thoroughly changes how you move across the map, and especially across the higher terrains.
Let’s find out how you can have the blueprint for this tool first so that you can craft it with the correct resources.
To unlock the Grappling Hook blueprint, you have to find Hooks. The easiest place to find them is in the dungeons of the Mistlands’ biome. There’s no guarantee how long it might take you to find a Hook. You’ll need one to craft the Grappling Hook (along with a bunch of other resources).
In simpler words, you can find Hooks in treasure chests and hidden locations just like other valuable resources. The drop rate appears to be low, which was the only issue I encountered.
To craft the Grappling Hook, you’ll need to head to the Black Forge and require the following resources.
Once you have the resources, you can then craft the Grappling Hook. Using the tool is pretty easy, but you need to be mindful of the delay when you try to activate it. The tool is best used to hang from a cliff/high terrain before you can reel in yourself to a stable spot where you can let go.
