Grand Theft Auto 6 will force fans to make bigger decisions than before, as well as acting more like a criminal than they have in the past.
With Rockstar Games’ extended look at GTA 6 hitting Netflix and YouTube, a number of content creators who got to see things a little earlier than everyone else have been revealing some massive details about what to expect.
That includes YouTuber and Twitch streamer TGG, who got to speak to Rockstar North’s Rob Nelson. In his video breaking down his time at the preview, the YouTuber noted that the game forces you to think more than Grand Theft Auto 5 – a bit similar to how Red Dead Redemption 2 was.
You will have to make some big decisions that will impact how you progress through the story, but players will also have to think more like a criminal than ever before.
“You have to make a lot more decisions, yes. All the time, and I think it adds so much to the game,” the long-time Rockstar dev told TGG, noting that you might go into things “restrained” but that will change.
“It brings a bit of risk now to jack someone out of the car, they’re going to call the cops, I’m going to have a bunch of trouble, then I might have to deal with them. So, maybe I won’t just jack someone out of the car. Maybe I’ll find a car parked where no one is around and break into it knowing I can do it and get away clean,” he continued.
“I think you feel a lot more like a criminal, and you have to think like one a lot more with the way this has been designed.”
It has also been highlighted that stealing a car will be different than before as a result, with some high-end cars needing different tools to be unlocked, and you might even have to take part in a mini-game.
