Tengo Project has announced Cybernetic Attack: Final Mission, a 16-bit-style remake of the 8-bit side-scrolling shoot ’em up game S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team. Platforms and a release date were not announced. It will support English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese language options.
S.C.A.T.: Special Cybernetic Attack Team, known as Final Mission in Japan, was first released for Nintendo Entertainment System on June 22, 1990.
The remake will add new character(s) and features, while retaining the same 16-bit-style pixel art seen in games like Pocky & Rocky Reshrined and Shadow of the Ninja Reborn.
Cybernetic Attack: Final Mission will be playable at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which will run from September 17 to 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
