Dino Crisis 2 is one of the more underappreciated gems in Capcom's horror history. That might sound like a bold claim when the internet routinely screams for a remake or sequel (we don't count Dino Crisis 3 in this house), but that's a very vocal subset of gamers. Shinji Mikami's dinosaur horror remains surprisingly niche compared to juggernauts like Resident Evil and Silent Hill. And unfortunately, after the PS4 dropped backwards compatibility over a decade ago, it was left behind.
Until now. After bringing Dino Crisis 2 to Steam earlier this year, Capcom is finally bringing the retro horror classic to PS4 and PS5 later this year as part of the Classics catalog.
Announced at State of Play, this means that the collection is finally complete. The first game was brought to current-gen PlayStation consoles way back in 2024, leaving new fans eager to dig through Capcom's history wanting more. The true Dino Crisis experience, really. But now, the set is rounded out (again, we don't count Dino Crisis 3 in this house). Maybe it'll help the cause for a new game. We can always hope.
