The Black Temple Trial takes place in a room filled with skulls and can become one of the most confusing puzzles in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Chapter 7. There's a ray of light being reflected into the room with a single lens, and players will need to find a way to reflect it using the Sphere's ability to light up all three gems and open the door. Here's a quick solution to the Chapter 7 Skull Room puzzle.
After players unlock the door to Black Temple, they'll pass through an ominous room with jars filled with decomposing bodies before eventually reaching the skull room where the trial will take place.
After you've taken out all the enemies, you'll first need to head to the area where the lens is directing the ray of light. Here, use the Sphere's ability to find hidden markings on the wall, and interact with the skull in its middle to shift the light source to another part of the room.
Now, make your way to the other part of the Black Temple, and you'll be ambushed by another group of enemies. Once you're done, you'll need to repeat the same process here: use the Sphere's ability to reveal the marking and interact with the skull to shift the light ray once again.
Once the light ray has repositioned onto the main platform, in front of the orange door, interact with the pedestal to start the second phase of the puzzle. Here's how to solve this part.
Doing this will redirect all the beams to their respective colored gems, and the skull room puzzle in the Black Temple will be complete in Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy Chapter 7. Now, all you need to do is use your platforming skills to carefully descend the gaping pit in front of you.
After descending the pit, don't forget to collect one of Theseus' Echoes located below.
