Team 17’s sci-fi shooter Alien Breed, celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, will return in September with an epic compilation akin to the gold standard Digital Eclipse bundles.
This will feature every game from the first era of the franchise, including the Alien Breed 3D titles.
In addition, it’ll feature new content like Horde Mode and the Vault Interactive Archives, including concept art and interviews with members from the original dev team.
If that’s not enough, you’ll be able to play these games as god intended in their original 4:3 format – or enable a toggle with full 16:9 widescreen support. Various CRT filters will be included to complete the retro feel.
I’ve never been the biggest Alien Breed fan myself, but I’m all for preservation efforts like this handled the right way. I’ll be picking this bundle up.
