You may recall Konami’s Rev. Noir, a new action JRPG it’s developing for the PS5 in collaboration with Japanese studio ILCA.
Well, after being officially announced during a previous State of Play, here are two new trailers for the title, which showcase its Tales and Xenoblade Chronicles influences.
Here’s the official blurb, courtesy of the game’s press release:
“Drawn together by chance, Asch and Finé set out to stop the Lightfall, a calamity that brings death to all it touches.
As their journey to save the world unfolds, they uncover a fate neither expected…
Defy cruel fate in the all-new RPG, Rev. NOiR.”
Personally, I think this one looks a little bit unremarkable, but certainly not bad. I think there’s definitely an audience for this on Sony’s console.
And it’s quite interesting to see Konami – who’d largely stopped making games a few years ago – invest in projects like this again.
