The landmark release of Grand Theft Auto 6 is getting closer and closer, and I can almost feel the gradual tectonic shift it’ll bring about in the world. Mark my words, when this game drops in November, the whole planet will grind to a halt for a week, at least.
Since the game’s most prolific home will likely be on the PlayStation 5, it’s a given you’ll want some top-shelf controllers to play it with. Perhaps unsurprisingly, that’s exactly what we’ll be getting, and on the exact same day that the game is coming out.
As part of Sony’s newest State of Play presentation, a pair of brand new limited-edition GTA 6-themed DualSense wireless controllers were announced. Both of these controllers will be launching on November 19, 2026, the same day that the game is coming out, with an MSRP of $84.99 per controller.
Pre-orders are set to open on September 10 at 7:00 AM Pacific time, 10:00 AM Eastern, through the PlayStation online storefront. Only a certain number of these controllers are going to be made available, so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
The limited-edition GTA 6 DualSense wireless controllers come in two colors: black and white. These color choices, according to the official PlayStation blog, are meant to capture the sparkling nights and bright days of Vice City, with each primary coloration accompanied by a shimmering, neon finish, custom-molded palm tree decals, and a big ol’ “VI” emblazoned proudly on the touchpad.
As with most major PS5 releases, GTA 6 is slated to feature full-scale support of all of the DualSense controller’s features, with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers helping you to feel every car crash and zooming bullet. While the limited-edition controllers don’t feature any extra hardware of that particular nature, they’d look pretty darn spiffy in their neon coloration, especially if you’re playing in the low glow of a nighttime living room.
