Solo Leveling has enjoyed remarkable success ever since its first anime season began. With Solo Leveling Season 2 having concluded in 2025, fans finally received a big positive update at Anime Expo, when its next sequel was announced to be a movie release, scheduled to air in 2027. While Aniplex and A-1 Pictures take their time with Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, we have a new Solo Leveling game, titled ‘Solo Leveling: Karma,’ to look forward to.
Set for release in 2026, Solo Leveling: Karma covers canon events of the 27-Year Monarch War, which we never got to see in the original story. This makes it an exciting project for all fans to look forward to. With each passing month, the game’s release closes in, and consequently, more information is unveiled by Netmarble Studios. More recently, Netmarble revealed to us a new Solo Leveling God named Azarea. There's a lot we don't know about this character, but she is described as both a benevolent and deceitful god, and she could also be a member of the Itarim or the Outer Gods of the Solo Leveling world. Her role in this story remains mysterious, and while she is set up as an ally, she could also eventually become a major enemy to take down.
Solo Leveling Karma is the upcoming project for the Solo Leveling franchise that is set to be released at some point in 2026. Karma is a PC and mobile video game, developed by Netmarble Studio, and so far it is the most ambitious Solo Leveling game the studio has undertaken. Set during the 27-Year Monarch War that was skimmed over in the Manhwa and novel, the game is about to explore an uncharted timeline of the franchise with the assistance of Chugong.
Even though we don't have a release date for Solo Leveling: Karma just yet, its debut is edging closer, and with it, we are getting frequent content releases by Netmarble Studio to keep the fans hyped and on the edge of their seats. Specifically, on August 28, 2026, Solo Leveling Karma gave us the official description of the mysterious blue-haired woman we previously saw in the Key Visual during Anime Expo 2026 on July 5. Now we officially know her name to be Azarea.

Not only do we now know her name, but we know that she is not just a regular character. Azarea is described as the benevolent Goddess. However, she is also described as a goddess of deception. She appears to be a figure that people look up to as a savior, and she will come to Sung Jinwoo during his arduous journey across the dimensional crack as he tries to kill all the Monarchs and end the 27-Year Monarch War to return home to his family and friends. Azarea is an exciting character that we can't learn more about through new tidbits released by the devs as time goes on.
The reveal of a new godly being in Solo Leveling has definitely come as a surprise to many. While some fans might push her to the side and simply deem her a game-exclusive character that is not canon to the story, Chugong’s involvement in this project, which was confirmed during Anime Expo 2026, says otherwise. It could very well be that Azarea is true to the canon of the Solo Leveling story and written by the author himself.
Not only could she be canon, but she could be a part of the Itarim, or the Outer Gods of the Solo Leveling world. The Itarim are a concept that was never fully explored in Chugong’s Solo Leveling Manhwa and novel. Instead, they are concepts that got more attention in Solo Leveling: Ragnarok, the sequel by Daul that follows the story of Sung Suho. In this sequel, they act as major antagonists.
