Until Dawn 2 will release on PS5 this January, as confirmed by a new trailer for the game.
During today's PlayStation State of Play, Firesprite showed off a new look at Until Dawn 2, a game that was formally announced this summer. The trailer teases the franchise's signature branching narrative with deadly choices that can radically change the fate of your characters. However, the biggest takeaway is that the game is coming out very soon, much sooner than some of us could have expected.
Until Dawn 2 will release on January 28, 2027 with pre-orders opening on September 10. Pre-orders will get access to an "Until Dawn classic" outfit, Akishima Island holiday outfit, and collectible Dr. Hill bobble heads to find throughout the game. There will also be a deluxe edition, which adds Y2K-inspired outfits for all characters and a Diaramoa of Death which lets players "relive every grisly demise with vignettes exploring unique angles of each fatal outcome."
PlayStation's 2027 line up is already looking pretty strong, as Until Dawn 2 will release in January and less than a month later, God of War Laufey will make its debut on PS5. There is also a flurry of speculation and rumors that Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet will release in the second half of 2027, which could make it one of PS5's best years to date. We'll just have to wait and see what happens, but next year is going to be an exciting time for gamers.
