God Valley in itself is absolutely massive for the fans because, for the very first time, One Piece is delivering a canon movie. One Piece Film: God Valley is set to be a canon movie adaptation of the battle held in God Valley 38 years ago. This battle was first revealed to us in One Piece chapter 957 on September 30, 2019. It was only brought to life in One Piece chapter 1159, and it concluded its run in chapter 1166 recently in the Elbaf arc.

This 8-chapter war is going to be brought to life on the big screen in 2027 by Toei Animation, and collaborating with them is the creator of the series, Eiichiro Oda himself. Unfortunately, this upcoming One Piece movie will not see Monkey D. Luffy as the protagonist. Luffy is at the center of all One Piece movies, and that makes sense given that he is the main character, but the next movie will not involve Luffy at all. In fact, this is the very first time that One Piece will be bidding farewell to Monkey D. Luffy and replacing him with a completely different character.
