Boruto: Naruto Next Generations is one of the most popular anime in the world. The series is set after the events of the Fourth Great Ninja War, in which the Ninja Alliance emerged victorious and defeated the greatest enemy they had ever faced. As a sequel, the focus shifts to the next generation as they face dangerous enemies and try to save the world from destruction. One of the characters who has been in the focus is Himawari Uzumaki, the daughter of Naruto and Hinata. At the beginning of the series, Himawari was too young to be involved in the serious action, but as the story progressed, her involvement has also increased significantly.
One of the challenges that Ikemoto was facing was regarding the integration of the Nine-Tails back into the story. Since he robbed Naruto of his tailed beast, he knew that he had to find a way to bring the nine tails back. The most obvious choice would have been Boruto Uzumaki, but the author decided to go with Himawari. He had the Nine-Tails be reborn inside Himawari, which granted her a significant advantage over most Jinchuriki, including her father.
Fans already know that a Jinchuriki is a dangerous weapon that has been utilized by villages throughout history. The biggest challenge that the elders faced while choosing a Jinchuriki was compatibility. Each tailed beast possesses a tremendous amount of chakra, making them extremely difficult to control. In many cases, the tailed beasts would overwhelm the Jinchuriki mentally, leading to a complete breakdown. For instance, the Hidden Leaf Elders always brought in a member of the Uzumaki clan to become the host of the Nine-Tails, because they were aware that a normal person would not be able to handle the tailed beast.

Even Naruto struggled a lot in his early days, and he lost control of the tailed beast several times. It wasn't until Naruto learned to control his anger and hatred that he was able to harness the Nine-Tails' power without any repercussions. However, none of these limitations apply to Himawari Uzumaki, as she is not a Jinchuriki in the traditional sense. Unlike most Jinchuriki, where the tailed beast is forcibly sealed inside a person, in Himawari's case, the tailed beast was reborn inside of her, meaning there is a direct connection between them. Himawari doesn't have to overcome any emotional blockades to utilize its power. In fact, Himawari has already shown that she can use attacks like the Tailed Beast Bomb almost effortlessly, leading many fans to think that she is already superior to all the previous jinchuriki. However, that is not the case.

There is still a lot for Himawari to learn, including developing some kind of special chakra mode like her father. By unlocking, or by developing something similar, she would be able to fight much stronger enemies. Her physical abilities, including strength, endurance, and speed, would increase drastically. It is also possible that she may develop special techniques, like an improved version of the regular tailed beast ball. If Ikemoto doesn't give her a Chakra Mode, maybe he can go for a brand-new tailed beast transformation. Allowing Himawari to turn into a tailed beast won't be sufficient, especially in Boruto, where all the major villains are on the same level as Otsutsuki clan members.
Instead of just giving Himawari a full-on tailed beast transformation, Ikemoto could try to create a hybrid version. The author could borrow inspiration from One Piece, which has many animal-related powers, but instead of making users into beasts, Oda included hybrid forms. These hybrid forms are a mix between the person's animal power and their human physiology. The regular chakra mode, at best, adds an orange cloak and a few tails. A hybrid form would not only grant additional strength but also change certain facial features. Doing this will allow Ikemoto to experiment and crush the rumors of him not taking bold risks.
