10 Best Characters to Run Alongside Gorr in Marvel Rivals

Gorr the God Butcher is the latest addition to Marvel Rivals, providing a fresh villainous face to the game that has bloated more and more with heroes. As fits with this violent role, Gorr is a melee DPS who thrives when neck-deep in the fight, flooding a battle with his Black Berserkers while he slices through all who oppose him.

As much as he'd like to pursue his crusade alone, Marvel Rivals is a game that heavily relies on communication and proper team comps, so Gorr needs to align himself with those who can back him up. That's where I come in! After dozens of games with the God Butcher, I've found a number of heroes that I find assist him incredibly well, both in game plan and directly via team-ups.

I'll be walking you through 10 of the best, starting from solid team mates and ending with the absolute best he could ask for. Let's get straight to it!

Star Lord is an all-in hero who's been solid since Marvel Rivals launched, with a great neutral game, hard to pin down mobility, and one of the easiest-to-use play-making Ults in the game. Just like Overwatch's Tracer, Star Lord pokes and prods the enemy backline before making decisive dives to secure a pick, something Gorr can follow up beautifully.

While Star Lord is definitely the squishier of the two, both he and Gorr love splitting the enemy's attention. Between Star Lord's dodges and Gorr's army of Black Berserkers, it's very easy for the enemy to lose focus and split their fire, enabling both divers well. Star Lord is simply this low because, unlike other front liners and divers Gorr enjoys siding with, Star Lord can't handle much fire on his own, with no real self-sustain.

The God of Mischief is a real wildcard, providing solid damage, healing, and a get out of jail free card from extended range when need be. Between Loki's volley fire basic attacks and their Immortality Rune, Loki can hang back while providing solid support for folks who want to go in via covering fire and healing both.

For Gorr, Loki's AOEs can consistently catch him in the blast while he's brawling, and a good Immortality Rune can buy him precious seconds for his own bail-out cooldown or an extra few swings to secure a kill. Every second Gorr gets to spend fighting is another second of uptime, and Loki can provide plenty of extra seconds from relative safety.

A Duelist who can hang a bit longer than Star Lord, Daredevil is a great diver to run alongside Gorr, using his mobility and target acquisition to get on top of enemies Gorr might struggle to reach. With a proper coordinated dive, Gorr and Daredevil can either pincer the enemy team or burst down one target, allowing Gorr to start the flood of Berserkers.
