EA FC 27's suite of modes can largely be played solo or with a friend. The challenge of playing with a friend comes from the fact that the method you have to use to actually set up the game in a co-op or versus mode changes depending on the mode you're playing. IN this guide, I'll explain how to play with friends in EA FC 27, as well as how to turn crossplay off and on.
To add a friend, press RT on Xbox or R2 on PlayStation to open the EA Connect menu. From here, go to the 'Player Search' tab and select 'Add Friend.' Your EA ID is listed here to share with others, but you can also enter the EA ID of your friend if they've already shared it with you. Once one of you has added the other, the invited player should be able to accept an invite within the EA Connect menu to become friends.
Once you're friends on the EA Connect platform, you can open this menu with RT/R2, select the friend you want to play with, and invite them to your game when selecting the 'Play with a Friend' option on any compatible game mode.
Co-Op Seasons can be accessed from the EA FC 27 main menu and requires you to invite your friend after creating a new Co-Op Season or loading up an existing one. This allows you to play against two other players online, with your performances moving you up and down leagues.
Pro Clubs allows you and 10 other friends to all play on one team against another group of players. Any positions that aren't filled on either team can either be controlled by the AI, or a player can play as 'Any' and control these unfilled spots.
Clubs requires you to either set up or be invited to a club within the game mode. You'll then need to join the Clubs mode and enter the lobby, selecting your position on the team that you want to play in. You can level up your player's stats by earning XP through playing Clubs matches.
Clubs has now been moved into 'The Grounds' mode, and it's more difficult to get into a Clubs match than previously.
For couch multiplayer, you can only play against one another in the 'Kick Off' mode from the main menu. This allows you to play a standard, one-off match against your friend in local multiplayer.
