Good news for the makers of 007 First Light and 1000xRESIST – both games are currently appearing on the PS Store homepage due to a glitch.
Sony usually shows the most popular games in each country across a variety of categories, ranging from pre-orders to downloads.
But these are currently ordered alphabetically, as opposed to by sales performance.
That means Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve has now “usurped” GTA 6 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 as PS5’s most wanted game, alongside quaint FMV effort Akiba Lost.
The bug is consistent across the console and web store, and it’s broken on the Browse tab too.
It’s a minor glitch so I’d expect this to be resolved relatively quickly, and the good news is this isn’t really a big problem. While not ideal, it’s only a tiny browsing inconvenience if you’re hitting up the PS Store right now.
As far as I can tell everything appears as it should through search, so I guess this is just an error pertaining to the ordering of the displayed games.
I’m going to go out on a limb and say even Sony will have this fixed in a few hours.
