One of the main parts of the action in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave sees you exploring dungeons. These contain chests, but you'll need to watch out for enemies, too. If you're spotted by an enemy, or you attack one roaming around the dungeon, you'll be put into a turn-based battle. These are a bit more straightforward than having to move units around the map like in the main battles in the game, and they come with Auto Battle and Skip to Conclusion options for players to take advantage of. But should you use these in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, or will they do more harm than good?
Auto-Battle does exactly what it sounds like. It lets you watch the battle play out, with each of your characters taking their turns and the enemy doing the same. It's all just sped up a bit and saves you from having to get involved in selecting attacks.
Skip to Conclusion lets you completely bypass the battle and just lets you see the EXP your characters have earned. It's the best option for those who might not have the time or just want to rush through these simpler battles in favor of focusing on the more interesting turn-based strategy battles on maps.
During tens of hours spent with the game, I've not really noticed any major downside to using either the Auto-Battle or Skip to Conclusion option in dungeon battles. All of my characters have always survived, and in my experience, the AI rarely uses Combat Arts to help spare your weapons' durability.
The only instance that the GameRant team has noticed either Auto-Battle or Skip to Conclusion cause a very minor problem was one time when our team was a level or two below the enemies. We still won the battle, but found that one of our units was relatively low on HP afterwards. This wasn't the end of the world, however, because we could just use the items we'd found in crates at a rest spot to restore any lost health.
I've been using the Auto-Battle and Skip to Conclusion options in dungeon battles quite a lot during my time with the game, as I've found these battles to be far too easy and quite repetitive. It helps save me time while also feeling like I've properly cleared out a dungeon so I can more easily track down the treasure chests hiding somewhere inside.
