The Doom + Doom 2 bundle being given away here was released in 2024. It combines the iconic games that kicked off the franchise, enhances them, and adds a ton of new modes, features, and maps. Joining it in Prime’s first September drop is the fantastic Botany Manor along with Drop Duchy, Just Die Already, and War Hospital.
As if that wasn’t already enough Doom, there’s even more of it coming your way when the second batch of Amazon freebies arrives on September 17. Doom Eternal, the critically acclaimed middle entry in the modern-day Doom trilogy, will be available to claim next Thursday. If you have not played Doom Eternal, do not miss this opportunity to finally give it a shot. It’s the game that turned me onto Doom after foolishly ignoring it for more than two decades.
Pick up Doom + Doom 2 if that sounds like you too. After Eternal, you’re going to want more Doom.
Wall World 2 and Rims Racing are the other two games arriving on Prime on September 17. There’s no more Doom on the last Thursday of the month, September 24, unfortunately, but there is another big game coming your way. High On Life will be up for grabs in the final Prime drop of the month, along with Hue, and The Da Vinci Cryptex, bringing September’s total to 11.
Once claimed, these games will not disappear. They’re added to your library and yours to keep forever, even if your Prime subscription ends. My suggestion is that even if you have never heard of some of these games, or if you don’t plan on playing them right away, claim them anyway. Worst-case scenario, you forget they exist, and you haven’t spent any money. Best-case scenario, you find some games you love that you would have never played otherwise.
