Publisher Level Infinite and developer Behaviour Interactive, in partnership with TEAM SHOOTER & CREATIVE, have announced Exterminauts, a cooperative third-person shooter coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store in 2027.
“This is Behaviour’s most ambitious original [intellectual property], and it exists at this scale thanks to our partnership with Level Infinite and TEAM SHOOTER & CREATIVE,” said Behaviour Interactive vice president and executive producer Louis-Pierre Pharand in a press release. “Our team wanted to make a game about [science-fiction] blue-collar workers who get the job done even when things go wrong on a galactic scale. TEAM SHOOTER & CREATIVE understood the idea from day one and has backed it ever since. After years in development, we’re proud to finally show Exterminauts to players. Punch In, Clean Up, Get Paid!”
TEAM SHOOTER & CREATIVE publishing lead Hakan Hu added, “We’re incredibly excited to partner with Behaviour Interactive on Exterminauts. The team has brought tremendous creativity and ambition to this original [intellectual property], building a distinctive blue-collar sci-fi world around chaotic and highly cooperative gameplay. Set on the scarred alien world of Tian, Exterminauts invites players to become an Exterminaut: a hardened interstellar professional uniquely equipped to exterminate threats, repair critical infrastructure, and respond to crises wherever the job takes them. Players will venture into hostile industrial environments on an alien planet where nature, machinery, and alien life collide, using specialized power tools and teamwork to overcome unpredictable threats in a colorful science-fiction world filled with danger, chaos, and unexpected challenges.
In Exterminauts, players will deploy from their orbiting depot into hazardous worksites, complete high-pressure objectives (and some odd jobs if they have time), and extract before alien encounters spiral out of control. Each successful work order provides resources to improve equipment, upgrade tools, and prepare for increasingly challenging deployments against a diverse range of extraterrestrial threats. With every contract bringing new obstacles and opportunities, players must adapt, collaborate, and push their skills to survive the next dirty job assigned to them.
