Star Wars Zero Company is a great game. At least I thought so when I reviewed it, and a bunch of you seem to agree with me. The only problem is that the really moreish combat comes to a complete halt once you've beaten the final mission. There's no endgame to speak of, and with the way cycles and timers work in the game, there's a limit on how much you can do in a single run.
It's no surprise then that players are already asking developer Bit Reactor to add some kind of endless mode to Star Wars Zero Company. This would allow us to keep playing through missions after the story has wrapped up, without having to worry about the timers and missing missions on our next run.
There are multiple ideas being thrown around to increase Star Wars Zero Company's replayability. For starters, you could get a new game mode that removes all of the timers on your next playthrough, allowing you to complete every single mission without anything timing out.
Alternatively, we could get access to all of the missions after we beat the game, letting us go back and choose which one to play from an epilogue save. It doesn't have to fit into the story - we can suspend our disbelief if it means getting to play more ZCOM.
I suppose the ending of Star Wars Zero Company also makes it possible for future updates to add more missions. Slight spoilers, obviously, but Hawks rounds off the adventure by saying that Zero Company is going to go out there and make some credits, so it would be neat to let us do just that.
With that said, the first priority for Bit Reactor should be bringing its devs back on board. It was reported earlier this week that as much as 80 percent of the team were furloughed before the game's launch because the studio ran out of money. You would hope that the success of Zero Company is enough to ensure everyone can come back, but we're yet to get a public statement on the matter.
