Ghost of Yotei players were surprised today when their PS5 boxes unexpectedly pulled a 29GB patch for the PS5 game, but this isn't Sucker Punch releasing the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion early.
Instead, this appears to be an update to the game that prepares it for the Complete Edition enhancement coming at the start of next month. Some of the advertised features for that refresh have already gone live, though.
Fans are reporting being able to access a new Beauty of Yotei mode from the main menu. This is advertised as a "world showcase mode" where you could move through "different locations with slow cinematic framing and music to highlight the mood and beauty of the world".
