Finding and unlocking Manuals will unlock and enhance Coen's Witchcraft, Swordmastery, or Vampiric Abilities in The Blood of Dawnwalker. Whatever it is you choose to focus on, you'll have to find the Manuals either by exploring or purchasing them from all kinds of merchants during your gameplay.
To unlock any Ability with an obtained Manual, you need to locate a Shrine and interact with it, then choose perks. Next, you'll need to spend your Skill Points, which are earned by leveling up and rewarded during various quests in The Blood of Dawnwalker.
