Ahead of its launch on February 16, 2027, God of War Laufey has officially revealed its pre-order date, its pre-order bonuses, and the contents of its Deluxe Edition. As is standard for most PlayStation first-party games, God of War Laufey's pre-order and Deluxe Edition bonuses grant players a set of visually impressive armors and weapons.
Announced during the June 2026 Sony State of Play, God of War Laufey is set to be the next mainline installment in Santa Monica Studios' God of War reboot series. Unlike the last two God of War entries, however, players will be assuming the role of the titular Jotnar warrior who died just prior to the events of God of War 2018. As Laufey, players must fight their way through the Everywhen, a mysterious afterlife where the Egyptian and Mongolian gods of war are wreaking havoc.
Announced via a PlayStation Blog post, God of War Laufey pre-orders are set to go live on September 29, 2026 at 10am local time. There's no official word yet on how much God of War Laufey's Standard and Deluxe Editions will retail for, though anyone who pre-purchases either version of the game before its February 16, 2027 launch will receive a set of free in-game bonuses.

God of War Laufey's pre-order bonuses include the 'Last Wish' armor set, which seems to lightly resemble Kratos' Guiding Light armor set from God of War Ragnarok. An important note is that this armor set can be obtained via story progression, so pre-ordering the game will simply give players immediate access to the in-game outfit. The same is true for the Phranque Golden Leaves pre-order bonus, which gives the Jack Quaid-voiced cube a special appearance. An in-game Resource Pack will also be given to those who pre-order God of War Laufey. The contents of this Resource Pack are unknown, though it'll likely grant players some upgrade materials early on.

Purchasing God of War Laufey's Digital Deluxe Edition will grant players immediate access to a full set of Dark Alchemy-themed items, including an armor set, a sword, a bow, and a Catalyst artifact that grants a yet-unknown special effect. This full set can also be obtained through story progression. This means that the only truly exclusive items in God of War Laufey's Digital Deluxe Edition are the included digital mini artbook and digital soundtrack.
