Modders have added several new twists to Modern Warfare 2, with viral videos showing off mods for Minecraft and skateboarding in the iconic game.
Anyone who played Modern Warfare 2 (2009) in its heyday is well aware of some of the mods and hacks the mega-popular Call of Duty title had. Invites for increased-speed lobbies and the Global Thermonuclear War game modes were always getting thrown around, and there were plenty of offers to boost your account to 10th prestige.
Since its heyday, modders have dropped plenty of different mods to spice up the gameplay. Now, two others are going viral: Minecraft and Skate 2.
That’s right, a new mod has brought Minecraft and Skate 2 to the original Modern Warfare 2 via a custom client.
The Minecraft side of the mod went viral after some social media users questioned if it was real or an edited video. “It’s a Minecraft mod for MODERN WARFARE 2,” one replied.
In that video, the player is able to select a custom class before dropping into a game of ‘free-for-all’. Once there, they spawn inside a Minecraft-looking world with all the typical mobs coming after them. There is also a day-and-night cycle, so things quickly go from sheep and pigs to zombies and creepers.

On top of that, the same mod also lets you skate around different maps, with both Rust and Estate being shown off in separate videos.
