Sarah J. Maas made headlines earlier this year by announcing back-to-back new ACOTAR books. The next book in the popular romantasy series, titled A Court of Splintered Harmony, is set to arrive later this month on October 27. Ahead of the book's release, a brand-new hardcover box set has arrived for the first five books. And only one day after it became available, Amazon has already dropped a massive discount on it.
This isn't the first hardcover box set the series has received, but it is the only one designed with the upcoming hardcovers in mind. So if you're already planning on grabbing book six and seven as soon as they release and you want the matching hardcover set, this deal is a great way to go.
This new box set has been up for preorder since back in early September and has been at full price right up until now. At $117.48, you're essentially paying $23 per book by buying the full set. This is actually more expensive than buying all of the existing hardcovers individually, but the added cost is the price you have to pay for uniform spines lined up on your shelf.
The original hardcover for the series featured a much more intricate design on the spine of each book, which Maas has seemingly done away with for the new releases. As you can see from the cover reveals earlier this year, each book is identifiable by a single symbol and the book name alone.
While it's likely a newer box set featuring all seven books will eventually get released, we don't have any details just yet. At the moment, these hardcover versions are the only formats planned for the new series' additions. We likely assume the eventual paperback releases will match this newer design as well.
If you're wondering when the new books will actually arrive, there are a couple of different release dates. Book six will be arriving on October 27, but book seven won't arrive until January 12, 2027. Maas has also hinted that an eighth book will be on the way sometime later, though no release date has been announced.
In addition to new books, the ACOTAR series has been releasing a bunch of new merchandise this year. In addition to Funko Pop! figures and jewelry, there are a number of tabletop adaptations you can now buy.
