The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered is out now in most regions across the globe, so we thought it would be interesting to see what the deal is with mods on console — specifically PS5.
In case you don't know, the remaster boasts mod support, bringing over player creations from PC. Using mods disables Trophies, but if you've already played through the game before, the inclusion of new content might be enough to bring you back.
So, at launch, Remastered has over 40 mods available to download and install. In truth, it's not a huge number, and many of these mods consist of minor gameplay tweaks, like removing fall damage or making it so you automatically win games of Gwent (the lowest of the low).
Numerous other mods are cosmetic adjustments, such as better eyebrows for Geralt (!), equipment appearances that are more in line with what's described in the books, and redesigned character models for Ciri, Yennefer, and Triss.
Browsing the selection right now, I'm not sure there's anything here that'd I'd dub crucial to improving the experience — but accessing the mod page is easy (you just click the option on the main menu), and I'm sure many more creations are incoming.
Hell, this article will probably be rendered out of date as soon as it's published, so I'll keep an eye on the situation and update accordingly.
