Fortnite’s annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares, is set to return again in 2026, bringing plenty of spooky content to the island.
Fortnite is constantly holding crossovers and special events, but few are as popular as Fortnitemares. This yearly takeover sees the battle royale fully embrace the horror to celebrate the Halloween season.
In the past, we’ve seen the likes of Wednesday Addams and Jason Voorhees arrive as skins, alongside weapons from the Saw franchise, all while the map gets a creepy makeover.
The event is set to return again this year, so here’s everything we know so far about Fortnite Fortnitemares 2026 so far.
Fortnitemares 2026 is expected to arrive on Thursday, October 1, 2026, according to a leak from HYPEX. Nothing has been confirmed by Epic Games themselves just yet, but this does fall in line with the usual schedule of updates dropping on a Thursday.
It also isn’t clear how long the event will last, but based on past versions, it’ll likely run for around three weeks.
According to leaks, the Scream weapon ‘Last Call’ is set to make a comeback after being a hit in 2025. This arms players with a knife and cell phone, which allows you to mark enemies before hunting them down with extra sprint speed and stamina while dressed as the iconic Ghost Face.
This comes alongside other popular weapons we’ve seen previously:
