Elden Ring Tarnished Edition has been released, and along with being playable on the Nintendo Switch 2, players can purchase this small DLC pack to gain access to new weapons, armor, starting classes, and even skins for Torrent. Perhaps the coolest item in the game is Leontiel's Greatsword, which lets you embrace the life of a matador.
However, this sword won't be as easy to acquire as the three skins for Torrent, as you'll need to kill the NPC invader actually wielding this weapon. Here is how to unlock the Leontiel's Greatsword, the armor set, and where to find it.
To get the Leontiel's Greatsword, you will first need to progress far enough into the game until you meet and defeat Starscourge Radahn. This boss is a mandatory fight in the main story, and if you're on a save where he's already defeated, then you won't need to worry about this step.
Once you've defeated Radahn, head to the Starscourge Radahn Site of Grace and summon Torrent. Ride to the northwest towards the large ruins near the shore. When you arrive at the ruins, head to the beach until you are forcibly knocked off Torrent. Keep going northwest onto the sand until you are given an alert that Knight Leontiel has invaded.
Don't let this invader's appearance deceive you, as he can do quite a bit of damage if you fail to dodge or block his attacks. When he arrives, his main move will be raising a small red cape in front of him to goad you into attacking. If you take the bait, he will dodge your move and spin behind you to thrust his sword into your spine. He will repeat this spin attack twice, and if both strikes hit you, there's a good chance you'll be instantly killed unless you have a ton of Vigor.
When you see him hold out his cape, just play defensively and wait until he either launches the thrust attack himself. You can dodge this move by either rolling towards him or away once he spins his body mid-attack, as this indicates he's about to stab with the sword. Leontiel has quite a bit of range, so if you try to roll away, there's a good chance he will catch you mid-dodge.
Thankfully, this invader has the same weakness almost every single other invader has: it can be basically stunlocked into submission. If you have any heavy-hitting weapon, you can easily just keep smacking Knight Leontiel in succession since he won't be able to retaliate. Leontiel is also quite susceptible to status effects, so using anything to afflict him with Scarlet Rot, Frost, or Poison can make him quite easy to deal with.
Upon killing Knight Leontiel you will unlock both this invader's entire armor set and the Leontiel Greatsword.
