Labor Day sales are usually an opportunity to score a good deal on a gaming laptop. Unfortunately, 2026 is different. The deals that I've seen so far have been very lackluster, and in fact some stores don't even seem to be running any sales at all. The best deal - and possibly the only decent deal - I've seen so far is at Amazon. The Asus ROG Flow Z13 gaming laptop with 32GB of RAM for just $1,699.99 with free shipping after a $400 off discount. The Asus Flow Z13 (in tablet mode) is only about a pound heavier than the ROG Ally X20 handheld gaming PC, but offers way more versatility and better gaming performance that rivals full-sized laptops.
