Developed by Dazed Games, it's the newest entry into the friendslop canon, following in the footsteps of Peak and Meccha Chameleon, right down to dominating the Steam charts.

How To Fish has flown right past Apex Legends, Palworld, Rust, Delta Force, Marvel Rivals, Slay the Spire 2, and The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth to earn itself a spot in the top five most-played games on Steam in the last 24 hours, only falling behind PUBG: Battlegrounds, Dota 2, and Counter-Strike 2.
Even more impressive, How To Fish has splashed into the top 50 games of all-time on Steam, surpassing the CCU of Meccha Chameleon and even Grand Theft Auto 5.
It's a testament to the power of friendslop: simple co-op games with a satisfying hook, and the developers are understandably ecstatic. "1 MILLION FISHERMEN IN 2 DAYS?!?!1?," Swedish creators Carl-Vilhelm Johansson and Melvin Olsson posted to Steam. "WE HIT 1 MILLION FISHERMEN! THANK YOU ALL!"
With the CCU already hovering at 352,728 on a Thursday morning, that peak could climb even higher this weekend. And if past friendslop hits are anything to go by, one million sales is only the beginning. There's still plenty of time for Dazed Games' breakout hit to creep ahead, especially with more content underway.
