Sony’s released a new ad reminding you that some games can only be played on the PS5.
The new commercial – part of the ‘It Happens on PS5’ campaign – focuses on several titles which are only available on PlayStation hardware.
They include: Ghost of Yotei (and its new expanded Complete Edition), God of War Laufey, Marvel’s Wolverine, Saros, Gran Turismo 7, and Astro Bot.
The voiceover points out: “These moments don’t happen anywhere else. So come and make the unthinkable happen. Only on PS5.”
It’s a change in stance for Sony’s marketing, which was previously porting single player first-party games like Horizon Forbidden West and The Last of Us: Part 2 to storefronts like Steam.
PlayStation is still supporting PC with live service games like Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls and Helldivers 2, but it confirmed during an internal town hall earlier this year that its single player games will remain on the PS5 only.
And this new marketing is finally taking advantage of that fact.
