It's almost time for the next installment of EA's long-running football franchise, and we finally feel like we're getting used to the name change. This year, there are three editions of FC 27 to choose from, but certain pre-order bonuses will be gone forever come September 1st. The two non-standard editions are digital-only, so if you want a disc, you're going to have to settle for just the standard edition of the game this year.

There are three editions of FC 27 you can purchase this year: Standard, Ultimate, and Ultimate Plus.
Each one is different enough to be worth considering which one you need and how much you plan to invest in the game in the long term, as you could save yourself some future expenses by picking up the most expensive edition of the game right now.
The basic version of FC 27 still includes some added pre-order bonuses; it's not just the game download or disc in a box and nothing else. To enjoy the pre-order bonuses, you'll need to secure your pre-order by September 24, 2026. It's not yet confirmed whether the pre-order bonuses for physical copies will be a code in the box or a separate code the retailer will need to provide. The 92+ overall Icon for FC 26 will not come with the Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version of the game.
The Grounds is a PS5, Xbox Series, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2-exclusive game mode; as such, these bonuses are only applicable to those platforms.
