This might be weird to say, but I've always felt that the PlayStation Vita should have been a Nintendo handheld. It just felt like it shared some tendencies with Nintendo. It offered a lot of quirky games, had weird touch control options, and boasted a roster of pretty eclectic titles.
While many of the games on the Vita have been ported to other consoles, I think Sony is missing a bet by not bringing a few of them to the Switch 2. Not only is it a giant handheld, but many of the games would just make sense on the console, as well as delighting fans.
There is a very wide array of titles here, from JRPGs to survival games, platformers, and arcade beat 'em ups. No matter the game, they're arranged according to overall reception, with my own preferences breaking any potential ties. So join me as we all hope that some of these will go from wishlist to actual reality.
While I'll admit there was a long period of time when I didn't do anything online with Nintendo consoles, thankfully they've improved their online functionality on the Switch 2. So it just makes sense that Ragnarok Odyssey, a Norse MMORPG published by Marvelous in the US, would find its way to the console.
Not only was it a visually attractive adventure, but it featured six different classes, ranging from typical Mage and Assassin to Hammersmith and Sword Warrior. Better yet, you could equip magical cards to your character to boost their abilities and stats.
The one unusual aspect of Ragnarok Odyssey was it eschewed a leveling system, and everything was run through Guild Halls. Still, it's a fun game to play with others, and I'm sure that would hold true for local co-op as well. The only reason it's not higher on the list is that it played it safe, but it's still worthwhile.
In a way, I'm not surprised that the Sly Cooper Collection didn't make it to the Switch 2 already. But I am a bit disappointed. Just because this was a collection of three cute games with stealth mechanics and fuzzy critters aplenty. This collection featured Sly Cooper and the Thievius Raccoonus, Band of Thieves, and Honor Among Thieves.
