A puzzling task at first, Aniimo players must ‘Pull out the Sword of Bravery’ to unlock the Pawney evolution and get one of the game’s best Dark DPS options.
But don’t worry, things get surprisingly easy once you know where to go. Here’s how to pull out the Sword of Bravery and unlock the Pawney evolution for all of your Helmuts in Aniimo, as well as how to get yourself a Golden Pawney early on.
You can pull out the Sword of Bravery in Aniimo by completing the Warrior: The Legend of Helmuts and Helgons Journey Quest. The quest can be triggered by talking to the painter Sorora by the Rainbow Woods Boom in Russet Highlands before speaking to a couple of Helmuts by their side.
You will first need to complete the first steps in Ancient Sacred Fragrance. You’ll also need to Twine with a Helmut of your own to talk to the Aniimo and advance through it.
The NPCs will then lead you to your next target: a lone Helmut hiding by the Twister Peaks ruins in the center of the region. Talk to them at the spot below before following them to continue the quest.
After completing the steps above and learning about the legend of Pawny and the Helmut’s noble quest to protect his friends, continue to the top of the ruins to find the Annimo exhausted by what seems to be a fog gate. Talk to him, grab the Irisalis Petal in the vicinity, and do the following to complete the quest:
Don’t neglect the last step, as even if you already pulled the sword during it, getting the curio is what unlocks the Pawney evolution for your cast.
Although its level might scare you at first, the Omega Infergon is not a hard fight at all, as its big swings and AoE attacks are well telegraphed. Use a high-damage ranged Aniimo to quickly break it before using your special skill for massive damage. Your picks also don’t need to be great matchups for the fight, with my level 40 Lunara making quick work of the boss once I decided to swap her in.
